New Member, Susan Hayward

We here at Hera Gallery are excited to be welcoming a new member, Susan Hayward to our midst. Susan is a local artist, working out of Shady Lea studios. She has been a supporter of the gallery for quite a while now, participating in past fundraisers such as the recent Paint By Numbers Lottery (her creation for that event is posted to the right).

Recently, Susan has been working with photography as well as creating incredibly intricate beaded jewelry. No matter what media she works in, her attention to detail is exquisite.

Hera Gallery is pleased to present “Artists From Shady Lea Come to Hera,” an exhibition featuring the eclectic works of the artists from the Mill at Shady Lea. This show will feature the works of Jane Bailey, Roberto Bessin, Jon Campbell, Barbara Crane, Jeff Elsbecker, Jody Eyre, Susan Hayward, Karen Imbriale, Sandra Krupp, Sew Many Things, and Amanda Wright. Hera Gallery is excited to highlight artists from the 2020 URI Senior Seminar Online Catalogue, which is available now through our website! Nicole Elyse Young: "Instinct/Dreaming of You/Lucy" "This process for me has been enlightening and therapeutic. In a confusing and frustrating time, I was thankful for the opportunity to have a creative outlet. I thought a lot about what I like to draw and why. I find I have the most success when I sit down with a cup of coffee and no distractions. I gathered any materials I could find, including flashcards for paper and Tupperware lid as my pallet, and began to reflect on my subject matter.
