Whether you already practice yoga, or are an absolute beginner, this is a one-on-one opportunity to address your specific needs and interests. Victoria Lockard, a printmaker, former Hera Gallery intern, and URI alumna, teaches vinyasa yoga at several locations in Providence. She received her teacher training from Baron Baptiste and YogaFit. Her teaching gives a workout while soothing the busy mind. Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic, flowing practice that connects movement with breath while leading you through a series of postures to strengthen and build flexibility and endurance, bringing you to a place of deep inner calm.

Bid on a BARBECUE FEAST FOR 6, to be held on Saturday, January 23rd, at 6:00pm. The dinner will be hosted by Jeff Bertwell and Barbara Pagh, at their house. Enjoy a taste of Louisiana spice that will warm you up in the cold of winter! Relax, and let Jeff and Barbara prepare a hearty meal of gumbo, barbecued ribs, cornbread, and salad for you. The meal will be hosted at Jeff and Barbara’s house, so there won’t even be dishes to do afterwards! Be sure to bring your own bottle of Riesling to cool your tastebuds off and balance out the heat with a touch of sweetness.

Silent Auction Item: Papermaking Workshop for 2

Participate in an intimate studio session with Hera Gallery member and artist, Barbara Pagh. You will be taught how to prepare sheets of handmade paper using Abaca, as well as how to add color and other materials to the pulp. All materials will be provided, you just need to bring your creativity and enthusiasm. Barbara Pagh is a printmaker/papermaker, and a Professor of Art at the University of Rhode Island. She received her MA degree from New York University and her BA from Mount Holyoke College. She works in stone lithography and photolithography on her own paper in both 2 and 3 dimensions. The images are often derived from landscape or ancient symbols left in the environment. Barbara Pagh is co-owner of the Queen's River Press with her husband, Jeff Bertwell.
