The Business Of Art

Hera Gallery is pleased to present The Business of Art! a workshop by Rich Streitfeld CPA. This is a great opportunity for artists and designers to learn more about tax and business basics in the art world. The workshop will take place at Hera Gallery located on 10 High Street, Wakefield, RI. The public is invited to attend this workshop for professional development on October 24th, 2013 at 7 pm. Admission is $15 to support the gallery and tickets should be reserved in advance as seats are limited. Please reserve in advance via 789-1488 or info@heragallery.org.

Rich speaks frequently to local and national audiences and he makes this difficult subject as understandable and entertaining as possible. (He “gets” artists!) Rich is a a partner at Aaronson Lavoie Streitfeld Diaz and Co., with broad expertise and a large clientele of an international scale. His own clientele includes medical practices to dance companies; start-up health care providers to real estate entrepreneurs. He loves working with businesses, entrepreneurs and artists. A graduate of Boston University, he directed an international non-profit and is also a Certified Fraud Examiner. Rich developed the state’s first same-sex planning seminar and leads business workshops for artists.

These programs are presented with partial support from The Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, through an appropriation by the Rhode Island General Assembly, a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and private funders, Hera Educational Foundation, and The Friends of Hera.

Hera Gallery is free and open to the public and is accessible to persons with disabilities. Parking is available behind the building or across the street.
