Hera Gallery presents NEW GROUND: An exhibition of Hera Gallery Members

An exhibition of Hera Gallery Members
July 7 – July 21
Opening Reception:  Saturday, July 7, 6:00 – 8:00

Hera Gallery has spent the past 37 years bringing contemporary art to Southern Rhode Island, working diligently to promote creativity in our community for nearly four decades. During this time, Hera has resided in the heart of Wakefield; and with the exception of an eighteen-month displacement, Hera has predominantly occupied gallery space located on Main Street. However, Hera Gallery has moved locations and is pleased to welcome the community to our new gallery space located at 10 High Street. In celebration of this new location, Hera is presenting New Ground, which will feature the work of Hera Gallery’s artist members, who are the driving force ushering the gallery into this new location.

New Ground brings together the artists of Hera Gallery in a group show including painting, photography, jewelry, sculpture, printmaking and more. The wide scope of work is reflective of Hera Gallery member’s diversity of media and interest. This show will also introduce two new members. Paul Forte, a poet and artists has recently joined the gallery; as well as Emily Humphrey, who is the first student member of Hera Gallery.

Hera is pleased to have new gallery space in Wakefield, and invites the public to join us at the opening reception for New Ground, on Saturday, July 7th from 6:00 – 8:00pm
