Cigar Box Lottery

Hera Gallery is pleased to announce our spring fundraiser, a Cigar Box Lottery. Hera has invited 50 artists to transform simple cigar boxes in any way imaginable. Whether painted, collaged, printed, disassembled, or sculpted, the result will be 50 unique works of art. The boxes will be made available to purchase via a lottery system, which guarantees every ticket buyer a one of a kind piece of artwork.

This lottery will take place in April, at a venue yet to be announced. Every ticket is guaranteed a box, but there will be a limited number of tickets sold, so it quite an exclusive fundraiser. Tickets will cost $50 to receive a box, but all are welcome to attend the event without buying a ticket. There will be food, refreshments, and music at the lottery event.

And so, just days before their secret hideaway was discovered and their exploits became the stuff of local legend, the artists who spent nearly four years homesteading inside Providence Place mall were about to do something that homeowners everywhere can relate to.
