Celebrate SWAN (Support Women Artists Now)Day at  Hera Gallery . Join awesome Rhode Island based female artists Mara Trachtenberg, Babs Owen, Kara Dunne and Kirstin Lamb in a panel discussion of their work, their lives, and how the two intermingle.  Brooke Erin Goldstein Art and Design  will be moderating the talk. Nancy and Maggie Worthen at The World's Smallest Art Gallery

Nancy and Maggie Worthen are exhibiting in The World’s Smallest Art Gallery* through May 1, 2015.   Nancy and Maggie Worthen are a mother/daughter duo from Rhode Island.   Nancy attended Douglass College in New Brunswick, NJ, where she received a BA in sociology and religion.   After college, Nancy returned home to Rhode Island, married and lived in Carolina, RI with her husband and her daughter Maggie.   Nancy worked in non­profit management at the Westerly Center for the Arts, Providence Children’s Museum, Ready to Learn Providence, and Providence CityArts for Youth.   Nancy’s passion has been to inspire others to serve in these mission driven organizations, while helping them to learn skills that foster reflection and self-discovery.   She is currently a volunteer at the Fertile Underground Natural Grocery Cooperative and the West Broadway Neighborhood Association, supporting local art and gardening through her work with these organizations. ...

Branching Out Birdhouse Fundraiser

Join us in celebrating our 2nd Birdhouse Fundraiser at The Farmer's Daughter on Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 1-4pm.     Artist made birdhouses and garden themed art will be auctioned off silently and live in benefit of the gallery and Welcome House. There will be food vendors next to the greenhouse all afternoon and entertainment provided by local musicians.  We will also have activities geared towards children! Birdhouse and garden themed art donations will be accepted at Hera Gallery  on April 15, 16, or 17 from 1-5pm. We look forward to celebrating the boundless creativity found within our community and the arrival of a long awaited spring!
